Rooted here

Thirty-five years of knowing what grows

Dave Horton studied horticulture and landscape design at Fullerton College and earned his C-27 license in 1988. For fourteen years he managed one of the largest design-and-build landscape firms in South Orange County.

In 2004, Dave and his wife Angie started SoCal Concepts with a simple idea: a landscape company with a personal touch, where every project gets a design drawn for its customer, not pulled from a template.

"Founded on honesty, integrity, hard work and personal relationships."

Design, construction, maintenance

Three ingredients, one crew

The three key ingredients for a beautiful landscape, handled start to finish by the same experienced team.

Design + build

Drawn for your property, built by our crew

Every landscape starts as a personalized design, then our own crew builds it: hardscape, planting, lighting, and irrigation. No hand-offs to strangers, no telephone game between designer and installer.

Licensed and insured, C-27 #528142. Free estimates.

How a project runs

From first walk to final planting

01

The consultation

We walk the property and talk honestly about what the site wants. Free estimates, straight answers.

02

The design

A personalized plan drawn for your property, never a template. You approve every line before anything is built.

03

The build

Our own experienced crew constructs it: hardscape, planting, lighting, irrigation. Licensed and insured, C-27 #528142.

04

The maintenance

We stay on after the build. Ongoing care from the crew that built it, so it matures the way it was drawn.
